A lot of the West End theatre stars are very dfficult when it comes to handing out autographs as they depart a theatre and therefore you can wast your time at the end of a performance that you have just attended with your programme in hand, rushing round the back of the theatre to get your favourite famous celebrity to maybe stop for 2 seconds so they can swiggle their signature with a pen placed in front of them and maybe sign that picture or programme that you have kindly purchased and can they do that for you? no of course not!!! some of these idiots up their own arses don’t give autographs. a lesson apparently unheeded by eight-times-a-week Connie Fisher whose ailments lead to the result of “signing autographs for 400 people out in the cold every night” arrrrrrghhh!
famous autographs is my little place on the web to show you autographs we love to collect and rare and unique memorabilia that is interesting and has historical value, that is exciting and a talking point, something you can show to friends, perhaps something from the movies.

why would someone want a particular stars autograph ?
i have friends that dont always understand my liking for autogrpahs or why i would want to do such a thing, well as i have mentioned before, for me its an interest that is also a talkign point and its the hope of getting an autograph of a person that may not be a legend at the moment but give it a few years they could go on to be a real hero to many.
so sometimes its worthwhile getting the autograph of the person that may not be the person everyone is screaming for at a premiere or a sporting event, it may be worthwhile getting the b list person who si not yet the susperstar.
so it was with interest i was reading an article about someones autograph and why anyone would want it. the full autograph article is here in the ny post.
so if you are not in the know, this guy went out with sarah palins daughter and got her pregnant, nto the biggest star, but hey he could get involved ina huge scandal. if i was there would have gotten his autograph? you bet i would, why turn it down?

Guy Auctions Autograph Suit Of Famous Celebrity People
there is a guy who is auctioning off a suit he has held onto for so many years, 35 i think, and the unique thing about this auction is that the suit he is selling has the autographs of famous celebrity people he has collected. the auction is going on ebay and i am going to monitor it just out of curiosity as its a great bit of memorabilia, its probably very personal to him but he is doing the auction listing in order to raise funds for a charity which is always nice and very generous of him.
the suit dates back to 1965, which makes the thing older than i am, and some of the names on there that you will eb able to identify are Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Frank Sinatra, Henry Fonda, Bette Midler, Cher, Meryl Streep, Lena Horne, Elizabeth Taylor, Andy Warhol, Faye Dunaway, Christopher Reeve, Mary Tyler Moore, Ginger Rogers, Mickey Rooney, Jimmy Stewart, President and Michelle Obama and many more.
so you can see that this is a unique garment, and there are one or 2 names off that list that i would certainly like to add my collection, most notably christopher reeve, who himslef has been very unfortunate in his life.
its auctions like this that really hold my interest in the world of collecting autographs as its really interesting to see the lengths some people go to in order to get autographs and over such a long period of time as well.
